Privacy Policy

Effective date: 6 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Coolnology Pty Ltd ("Coolnology", "we", "us", "our") handles information when you play the No Hero Stands mobile game or visit this website (together, the "Game"). We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. By using the Game you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Game.

1. The short version

  • There is no account and no sign-up. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, or location.
  • Your game progress is saved on your device only. It is not uploaded to us.
  • The Game includes third-party software from Google (advertising, analytics, and crash reporting) and connects to Apple and Google platform services (leaderboards and purchases). Those services collect some device and usage information, described below.
  • We do not sell your personal information.

2. Information stored on your device

Your progress — such as levels completed, your dragon's level, gear, items, settings, and whether you have bought the one-time purchase — is stored locally on your device. We do not have access to it and cannot restore it. Deleting the Game deletes this data.

3. Information collected through third-party services

The Game uses the services below. Each provider collects information directly from your device through its own software and handles it under its own privacy policy.

  • Google AdMob (advertising). Used to show optional rewarded ads, and to measure and limit how often ads are shown. May collect your device's advertising identifier, IP address (which indicates general location), device and app information, and how you interact with ads.
  • Google Firebase Analytics (usage analytics). Used to understand how the Game is played so we can improve it — for example which levels are started and finished. May collect usage events that are not linked to your name or contact details, an app-instance identifier, and device information such as model, operating-system version, language, and country.
  • Google Firebase Crashlytics (crash reporting). Used to find and fix crashes. May collect crash reports, including device model, operating-system version, app version, and the state of the app when it crashed.
  • Apple Game Center (leaderboards, iOS). If you are signed in to Game Center, your scores are submitted and shown with your Game Center name.
  • Apple App Store and Google Play (download and purchase). The store handles your store account and payment details when you download the Game or make the one-time purchase. Those details are never shared with us.

Advertising. Ads in the Game are rewarded video ads that you choose to watch. The Game asks Google for non-personalised ads only: they are not selected using your advertising identifier or your activity in other apps, and the Game does not ask for permission to track you across apps. Google may still use your approximate location (from your IP address), device information and the context of the Game to choose an ad, to limit how often you see it, and to detect fraud. To learn how Google uses information from apps that use its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and the Google Privacy Policy.

Game Center. Game Center is provided by Apple, and what other players can see about you is controlled by your Game Center settings. If you are not signed in to Game Center, no scores are submitted. See the Apple Privacy Policy.

Purchases. The one-time purchase is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not collect or store your payment card details; the store confirms to the Game on your device that the purchase was made.

4. Information you give us directly

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message, and we use it only to respond to you and to keep a record of the conversation.

5. This website

This website does not require you to sign in, and we do not use advertising or analytics cookies on it. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes standard technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested.

6. How we use information

We use the information described above to:

  • provide and operate the Game, including leaderboards and the one-time purchase;
  • show rewarded ads and grant the rewards for watching them;
  • understand how the Game is played, fix crashes and bugs, and improve the Game;
  • keep the Game safe and fair, and enforce our Terms of Service;
  • respond to you when you contact us;
  • comply with legal obligations.

Where required by law, our legal bases for processing include performing our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Game, your consent (for example for personalised advertising where consent is required), and compliance with legal obligations.

7. Your choices

  • Tracking (iOS): the Game does not ask to track you. Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking shows which apps have asked.
  • Ad personalisation (Android): Settings → Google → Ads lets you reset or delete your advertising ID.
  • Ads altogether: watching rewarded ads is optional, and the one-time purchase removes ads from the Game.
  • Leaderboards: sign out of Game Center, or change your Game Center profile and privacy settings, in your device's Settings.
  • Local game data: delete the Game from your device to delete all progress stored on it.

8. How information is shared

We do not sell your personal information. Information is shared only as follows:

  • Service providers and platforms: the providers listed in section 3 collect and process information to provide advertising, analytics, crash reporting, leaderboards, and purchases. Some of them are located in, or transfer information to, countries outside Australia, including the United States.
  • Legal and safety: where we believe in good faith it is necessary to comply with law, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights, safety, and property of our players, the public, or us.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

9. Children's privacy

The Game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us at info@coolnology.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it. If you are under 18, please play only with the permission of a parent or guardian.

10. Data retention

We do not hold your game progress — it stays on your device until you delete the Game or its data. Analytics, crash, and advertising information is held by the providers listed in section 3 and retained for the periods set out in their policies and our settings with them. Emails you send us are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for our records. Aggregated or de-identified information that does not identify you may be retained.

11. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Because the Game has no accounts, we usually cannot link analytics or advertising information to you personally, but we will do what we reasonably can to help — contact us at info@coolnology.com. If you are in Australia and are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

12. Security

We use reasonable measures to protect the limited information we handle. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the relevant authority as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

13. International transfers

Our service providers may process and store information in countries other than Australia, including the United States, which may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we take reasonable steps to ensure such transfers are handled with appropriate safeguards.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time — for example if we add or change a service provider. If we make material changes we will update the "Effective date" above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice in the Game or on this website. Your continued use of the Game after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
